Mynda Guevara

With DJ Pedro (Pedro Gomes Ramos)

Coming from the Cova da Moura neighborhood in Lisbon, Mynda Guevara carries a thirst for revolution in her name and attitude, which is closely tied to the still very minimized role of women in rap. Her rap, in Creole, as a form of true and emancipatory expression, has been gaining a position of respect, due to the strength of her lyrics reflecting her role as a woman, Afro-descendant, and rapper within a stratified society.
