Colombian educator and researcher. She served as Colombia’s Minister of Sport from 7 March 2023 until 15 February 2024 in the government of Gustavo Petro. After studying at the Universidad Pedagógica Nacional, she obtained a degree in Physical Education. Subsequently, he pursued postgraduate studies, obtaining a Master’s degree in Education from the same university. She holds a PhD Cum Laude in Social Studies from the Universidad Externado de Colombia, for her work: “Subjectivities in the public space: the bicycle lane in Bogotá”. Specialisation in Advanced Sports Studies from the Universidad Jorge Tadeo Lozano. During her career, she taught at the National Pedagogical University for fourteen years. Teacher at the Secretariat of Education of the Mayor’s Office of Bogota and was also part of the team responsible for the formulation of public policies on physical education and sport in the period 2010-2019 of the Ministry of National Education.
